About the Role
The MPS Registered Nurse role is dynamic and versatile, involving work across various areas within a Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) facility. Youβll provide high-quality care in acute, emergency, and aged care settings, ensuring holistic patient care and supporting community health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care across a variety of settings, including acute wards, emergency departments, and aged care wings.
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and manage complex health conditions.
- Respond to emergencies, stabilize patients, and coordinate care in urgent situations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Engage in effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education and support where required.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, adhering to all documentation standards.
- Follow hospital and health board protocols to ensure safety, compliance, and care continuity.
To Be Successful in This Role, the Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in Aged Care and/or Acute settings
- Emergency Triage Certification is highly desirable
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage workload
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proven experience in delivering clinical, patient-centered care
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work across various care environments including wards, emergency bays, and aged care facilities
- ALS (Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
- Excellent computer proficiency and documentation skills
- High level of adaptability and cultural sensitivity, especially when working in rural and regional locations
