Job Description:
As a Professional Driver at SEQH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery and collection of shipping containers and various cargo. Your responsibilities will vary depending on your experience level but may include:
- Safely transporting cargo to and from our depot in Hemmant.
- Completing timesheets accurately and promptly, providing necessary documentation to the Transport Fleet Allocator.
- Interacting closely with customers to coordinate container movements and deliveries.
- Adhering to schedules provided by the Transport Fleet Allocators and following all road laws and safety regulations.
- Performing pre-start checks on equipment and conducting maintenance as required.
- Upholding the goals of the Chain of Responsibility, including load restraint and fatigue management.
- Participating in company training programs and inductions as required.
Key Requirements:
For Experienced Drivers:
- Hold a current HC or MC class Licence.
- Experience in general freight transport, particularly palletised cargo, is preferred.
- Positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to safety.
- Availability for Monday to Friday shifts, with occasional Saturday work if available.
- Knowledge of applicable legislative requirements, including the Chain of Responsibility.
- Evidence/copy of 5-year Traffic History.
For Entry-Level Drivers:
- Recently obtained an HC or MC class Licence.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for Monday to Friday shifts.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to follow company policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
