Job Description:

As a Professional Driver at SEQH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery and collection of shipping containers and various cargo. Your responsibilities will vary depending on your experience level but may include:

  • Safely transporting cargo to and from our depot in Hemmant.
  • Completing timesheets accurately and promptly, providing necessary documentation to the Transport Fleet Allocator.
  • Interacting closely with customers to coordinate container movements and deliveries.
  • Adhering to schedules provided by the Transport Fleet Allocators and following all road laws and safety regulations.
  • Performing pre-start checks on equipment and conducting maintenance as required.
  • Upholding the goals of the Chain of Responsibility, including load restraint and fatigue management.
  • Participating in company training programs and inductions as required.

Key Requirements:

For Experienced Drivers:

  • Hold a current HC or MC class Licence.
  • Experience in general freight transport, particularly palletised cargo, is preferred.
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to safety.
  • Availability for Monday to Friday shifts, with occasional Saturday work if available.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative requirements, including the Chain of Responsibility.
  • Evidence/copy of 5-year Traffic History.

For Entry-Level Drivers:

  • Recently obtained an HC or MC class Licence.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for Monday to Friday shifts.
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
