Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Fruit Picker to join our team. As a Fruit Picker, you will be responsible for harvesting fruits efficiently and ensuring their quality. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a passion for agriculture.
Responsibilities:
- Harvest a variety of fruits, following established guidelines and procedures.
- Inspect fruits for quality, ensuring only ripe and undamaged ones are picked.
- Operate and maintain harvesting equipment, such as ladders, shears, and baskets.
- Sort and pack harvested fruits into containers, crates, or bins, adhering to specific weight and size requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing debris and disposing of waste properly.
- Follow safety protocols and use protective gear to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Report any issues or concerns related to crop quality, equipment malfunction, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to differentiate between ripe and unripe fruits.
- Basic knowledge of agricultural practices and safety procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing work environments.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in fruit picking or related field is preferred but not required.
