The Opportunity

  • Enriching teaching positions available in primary and senior school (prep - year 12) at Autism Queensland School.
  • Full-time, part-time and relief opportunities available at our Brighton, Sunnybank and Cairns campuses.
  • Small classes of 6-8 students
  • Wide degree of support from an interdisciplinary team of teacher aides therapists, wellbeing, and behaviour support practitioners

Our P-12 independent school has four campuses across our sunny state and is built on a strong inter-disciplinary foundation of Teachers, Teacher Aides and Allied Health Professionals. Working in a collaborative, supporting environment tapping into our market leading research to provide quality education and support to autistic students.

As a Teacher, you'll support the planning, teaching and assessment in an alternative, flexible model of learning for autistic students, embracing a holistic, strengths-based, and neuro-affirming approach as we strive to empower each student to thrive in an environment that fosters their individual growth.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • Demonstrated experience with school aged autistic children
  • Demonstrated understanding of current principles and practices for supporting students with diverse learning needs across a range of environments.
