Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all tax-related activities for our organization. The Tax Accountant will work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and will provide guidance and support to management on tax-related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing financial accounts and tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts.
  • Completion of BAS, IAS statements and annual GST returns.
  • Reviewing client's accounts prepared by their bookkeepers/internal accountants.
  • Providing payroll support, payroll tax lodgements, workers compensation forms.
  • Assisting in tax planning and compliance.
  • Experience with SAGE, MYOB and XERO.
  • Highly skilled in the use of MS Office Suite.
  • Confidence in interacting with clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated to develop your knowledge and progress your career.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred but not essential
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Practice
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax software
