Overall Role Purpose

The Delivery Driver is responsible for:

• Transportation and delivery of satchels, cartons, or goods, to their designated locations efficiently and safely.
• Maintaining the integrity of the products during transportation, and timely return of goods back to the depot to make transfer connection.
• Being customer focused – connecting people through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles (Car licence minimum), and other transport equipment to deliver products to customers.
• Plan delivery route and ensure that deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load and unload goods safely and securely, and ensure that products are transported in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Communicate with customers, in line with company values.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any defects or problems to maintenance team.
• Ensure accurate information is presented through correct scanning and proof of deliveries.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.

Skills

• Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate a manual vehicle is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude.
• Safe driving – to safely operate a vehicle in all weather and road conditions.
