Calibre / WSP has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with piping system expertise and background to join a friendly team based out of our client project Office (with occasional site travel).

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Calibre / WSP, you will work as a part of a multidisciplinary project team and will play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality projects for high-profile tier-1 mining clients through various stages of the projects.

What you’ll do:

You will be working on a design project aimed supplying raw and potable water infrastructure to meeting the demands of various NPI and mining areas. Provide expertise in Non-Process Infrastructure design In this, your responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development of a piping system design that meets the client's requirements and addresses reliability, and risk concerns.
  • Deliver high-level and detailed bore headworks and pumping station design.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and develop strategies to mitigate potential water supply network issues and improve performance.

About You

  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with specific piping system design experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also possessing strong self-motivation and the capability to deliver tasks independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake hydraulic design in Bentley WaterGEMS and/or Fluidflow.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Non-Process Infrastructure design and construction.
  • Previous experience on Iron Ore mine construction, commissioning and troubleshooting is preferred.
