Senior Mechanical Engineer

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you'll be joining an established project team working on a variety of projects that will provide you exposure to multiple brownfields projects for an ore producing client. The scope of work includes all facets of NPI infrastructure. This could be your chance to be part of significant engineering studies that will enable our client to sustain mining operations and develop new sites.

What you’ll do

• Liaising daily with Engineering Manager, Designers and Engineers.
• Making recommendations to improve the efficiency of our workflows.
• Work closely with the design team to deliver the dry plant design.
• Keeping a close eye on project timeframes.
• You’ll be trusted to devise practical recommendations, identify risks and ensure compliance with Calibre/WSP, industry and client technical standards.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have

• Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Typically 7+ years of engineering design experience.
• NPI design experience is essential e.g. piping, water systems, MEM workshops rock breakers, conveyor, chutes.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• A keen eye for detail, good time management and strong problem-solving mindset.
• Current right to work in Australia.
• Problem solver with a powerful team spirit.
