Wood Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally – Australia through to Europe, Middle east Africa and Asia.

 



Responsibilities

This role will see you join the Project Services team who are based across our Perth and Brisbane office. Our team supports both our Brisbane and Perth business, across Cost Control, Planning and Document Control disciplines. 

We partner with our stakeholder to deliver quality services to ensure success and quality within our project delivery.

Working in a key engineering service contract, the focus of your role will be to create delivery excellence across the assigned project portfolio, provide certainty and confidence to the client and maintain robust control of project scope, schedule, cost and risk. 

As a key part of our team, you will undertake the following duties, which will not be limited to: - 

  • Provide project support by monitoring and reporting on cost, project progress, invoicing, change control and variations
  • Developing project budgets in accordance with project estimate and CBS - Producing updates to project cost forecasts
  • Review and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) 
  • Prepare up to date cost reports showing approved budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, 
  • Contribute to building a cost-conscious attitude throughout the project team.

Qualifications

About You

Your career will have seen you have grown through the resource sector, working across a range of projects leading towards a focus within project controls and cost management. Your career will have seen you build tenure within a project delivery environment, with understanding of the establishment and execution of medium to large scale projects. 

In addition, you will have a 

  • Ideally you will have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role and while advantageous to have a degree in a relevant technical or business discipline, it is not essential
  • A self-motivated team member with excellent communication skills who can manage time and workload efficiently 
  • Advanced skills in the cost control process of a multi-discipline EPCM and EPC project 
  • A “solutions mindset” and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities 
  • can do attitude, who enjoys contributing to a positive team culture
  • Valid working rights within Australia
