About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Sales Assistant to support Sydney City Salvos retail operations.

Reporting to the Retail Coordinator, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Surry Hills, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Award Level 3.

You will successfully

  • Provide exceptional customer service and appropriate assistance to all customers.

  • Perform store open & close established procedures as required.

  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members.

  • Assist in coordinating and implementing marketing and promotional activities in the physical and online retail space.

  • Process donations and ensure adequate amount of stock is on the shop floor at the correct price point.

  • Maintain the appropriate visual standards of the store and ensure stock is organised.

  • Manage complaints and feedback, escalating to line manager as required.

You will have

  • Demonstrated customer service experience working in a retail environment with an ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Sound presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to interact with a variety of people.

  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

  • A current NSW Driver Licence (desirable).
