About the role

We are looking for a Rural Products Sales Manager to join the growing team on a permanent, full time basis.

As an Elders Rural Products Sales Manager, your prior experience in the Horticultural industry, expert product knowledge and customer service skills will enable you to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including finding new opportunities for them to explore. You are also a strong leader with demonstrated people management and merchandise operational skills. Supported by the Elders network, you will be provided with the tools necessary for you to grow in your career.

Responsibilities

As a key member and leader within the branch, you will enjoy a varied day including:

  • Develop and manage merchandise business plans and budgets

  • leading a merchandise sales team

  • meeting key performance indicators and expenditure targets

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, recommending the Elders range of products and services that will strengthen the growth of their business

  • Proactively source new business to achieve KPI’s and targets

About you

To excel at Elders, you will have:

  • Previous experience working within the Horticultural industry (Agronomy, Sales or Procurement)

  • Demonstrated experience in sales and business development (ideally rural products/ farm supplies)

  • Current Forklift License (advantageous)

  • Possess extensive knowledge of agriculture products, the region and our competitors

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment

  • Passion for effecting real change for both your clients and your community

  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service
