About the role

We are looking for a Retail Manager to join the growing team on a permanent, full time basis.

As AIRR’s Retail Manager, you will be responsible for sales performance and driving growth and efficiency outcomes within our retail store network. This is a leadership position where you will be entrusted to manage all aspects of retail operations including oversight of stores. Your expert team management skills will allow you to support sales staff and empower them to grow with the support of an experienced network.

Responsibilities

As an Area Manager you will enjoy a day including:

  • Inspiring and motivating your team to maximise their potential
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to provide personalised recommendations to strengthen the growth of their businesses
  • Managing the performance and development of employees within the Ag, Horse & Pet network.
  • Cultivating new sales opportunities to strengthen Ag, Horse & Pet presence
  • Actively participating in strategy and planning for the Ag, Horse & Pet network.
  • Driving the marketing and promotion of all AIRR & Ag, Horse & Pet products
  • Prioritising the safety of your staff and clients, and actively contributing to he businesses zero-harm objective & culture
  • Ensure that all stores are up to speed and implementing people & culture and safety initiatives ad policies.
  • Implementing ranging and inventory strategies across Ag, Horse & Pet stores – including exclusive and private label products.
  • Coaching and mentoring retail managers in identifying and developing new sales opportunities, as well as the development of their teams.

About you

To excel at AIRR in this position, you:

  • Are an experienced leader with an in-depth knowledge of the agricultural industry including product and sales management
  • Can effective lead and motivate a team, made up of various individuals, toward the achievement of annual sales and earnings targets
  • Are comfortable and thrive in a collaborative and agile working environment
  • Be able to analyse data and provide stores with insights and information that will help better service customers and enable decisions to improve each store’s performance
  • Have a strong understanding and focus on people & culture
  • Have a strong commercial focus and acumen
  • Are resourceful, forward thinking and passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community
  • Understand that people are our most important asset
  • Have an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with clients
  • Have proven capabilities in the management of operations, inventory, people and sales and strong negotiation skills
