Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Retail Assistant to join our team at our IT Retail Shop. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the store and delivering exceptional customer service to all our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist customers as they enter the store
• Provide knowledgeable advice and guidance to customers regarding computer products and accessories
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our computerised point of sale system
• Ensure that the store is clean and well-maintained, including restocking of shelves and tidying displays
• Receive and unpack new stock, ensuring that it is stored in the correct location
• Assist with inventory management and regular stock-taking instore and online shop
• Provide after-sales support, including processing returns and exchanges, and dealing with customer queries and complaints
• Maintain a good knowledge of the products and services that we offer, including the features and benefits of different computer brands and accessories
• Upsell products and services to customers where appropriate
Requirements:
• A passion for IT and a strong interest in computer products and accessories
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner
• Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and helpful nature
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior staff
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Basic computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office and other software applications
• Previous experience in a retail environment would be advantageous
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, with a regular working schedule that may include weekends. You will be required to work on your feet for extended periods of time, and may need to lift and move heavy items. Our IT Retail Shop is a fast-paced environment, and you will need to be able to work under pressure and multi-task effectively.
