Our Maternity Service is flourishing and as a result we have a number of exciting opportunities for Registered Midwives and Registered Nurses:
Registered Midwife positions to work in Birth Suite Only
Registered Midwife and Dual Midwife/Nurse positions to rotate Antenatal/postnatal/Birth Suite
Special Care Nursery (First) positions to work in SCN Only
Registered Nurse with Postnatal experience to work in Postnatal team nursing.
Our team of Registered Midwives and Nurses are responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care during the ante and post-natal and confinement stages, safe nursing of infants and the co-ordination and supervision of care delivered by junior caregivers and students.
Various Permanent or Casual positions are available working a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday.
The successful candidate will have:
Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as Registered Nurse and/or Midwife.
Effective communication skills.
Commitment to on-going education and self-directed learning.
Delegation and motivational skills.
Knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing.
Ability to educate patients, family and staff.
Knowledge and skills of the principles of infection management.
Planning and organisational skills.
Analytical skills.
Teamwork skills
