Your role at St John of God Burwood Hospital
We are seeking applications for a Registered Nurse to join our John Grande Unit on a permanent full-time basis.
Working as Registered Nurse, you will assist in the planning, implementation & evaluation of the day to day mental health and basic physical care requirements of patients. You will participate in mental health assessments, risk assessment and management, alcohol & drug assessments, history taking and developing nursing care plans.
The Position
Ensure patients receive the highest level of care and treatment in line with contemporary clinical nursing practice.
Ensure confidentiality for patients and that their personal information is maintained at all times.
Ensure hospital policies, procedures and standards are adhered to and demonstrated through work practices.
Ensure all patients receive orientation to the Unit by establishing process that embraces the Mission, Vision and Values of the St John of God Health Services
Ensure effective and proactive communication with Medical and Nursing Staff regarding patient care in the Unit.
Ensure that patient medical records are maintained adequately to facilitate efficient and effective patient care and meet legal requirements.
You will have experience working in mental health or a similar clinical setting, clear concise written & communication skills, demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction and well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Successful applications will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field will be highly regarded.

We can offer you
Salary: $72,832 to $102,286 + 11.5% Superannuation
Permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week
