Our client is a leading community nursing, NDIS, and home care service that provides professional care Throughout The Orange, Bathurst, Lachlan and Central West regions. They are seeking a Registered Nurse to work on a part-time basis for fifteen hours per week who will be responsible for providing professional and supportive nursing care for their NDIS and Aged Care clients in their homes in the community and clinical leadership and education for all staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver professional nursing care to clients, including wound care, medication administration (including injections), catheter and continence management, and clinical assessments.
  • Collaborate with Aged Care and NDIS Team Leads to ensure client care goals are achieved as outlined in their support plans.
  • Notify the Branch Manager if additional nursing care is needed beyond the support plan.
  • Respond promptly to changes in clients’ health by initiating assessments, reviews, or referrals in consultation with the client, their family, or advocate.
  • Report any changes in client condition or home environment to the Aged Care and/or NDIS Leads and/or Branch Manager.
  • Encourage clients' independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for each client visit.
  • Coordinate with allied health providers and multidisciplinary health professionals to support clients’ health and well-being.
  • Provide clinical leadership and education to staff, including training on epilepsy, diabetes, mealtime management, medication administration, and manual handling.
  • Adhere to Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s practice standards and AHPRA’s ethical and clinical responsibilities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training opportunities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as meetings and planning days.


Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in community nursing.
  • Relevant experience and/or qualifications in caring for older people or individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or in progress).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation and Induction Modules.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Valid driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • COVID-19 vaccination (TBD).
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
