Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will Lions Haven is a leading not-for-profit 121 bed Residential Aged Care Facility in Hope Island. Our fully accredited modern facility, which includes a 20 bed memory support wing, offers a safe and comfortable environment to ensure quality of life to our residents, staff and visitors. Residents have the freedom to enjoy life in a homelike atmosphere where families and friends are most welcome

We are looking to recruit a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurses in a permanent capacity. If you are committed to resident care, can demonstration clinical knowledge in dementia, aging and the deterioration stages of an aging population, possess excellent communication skills and are willing to challenge yourself, we'd love to hear from you!

Lions Haven is a 24/7 facility with Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts currently available on a casual AND part time basis

Qualifications/Experience

Ensure all nursing procedures are performed and consistent with best practice principles.

Support and assist medical practitioners and allied health professionals as appropriate.

Ensure Clinical Documentation and assessments are detailed, accurate and aligns to the Aged Care Quality Standards.

Demonstrates a genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly

Are reliable and willing to maintain a safe and high standard of practice.

Have a positive working attitude, with the ability to work in a team and independently

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Bachelor Degree in Nursing

Registration with Australian Health practitioner regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Current Police Check

Experience in Health or Aged Care (desirable)

Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication

Strong interpersonal & communication skills

Demonstrated commitment to professional development

Current Covid-19 Vaccination including booster

2024 Influenza Vaccination

CPR / First Aid responsible for providing quality patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical history
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and treatments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Respond to patient emergencies and provide immediate care as needed
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
