SCCC is an integral part of the Maronite Community within Western Sydney and SCCC aims to allow consumers to retain their active role within the Maronite Community.
We are currently seeking a passionate and reliable Registered Nurses to join our team. Reporting to the Care Manager, our Registered Nurses are responsible for the coordination and delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care to our consumers while assisting them to live their life as independently as possible. Our Registered Nurses are required to work as Clinical Leaders and contribute, supervise and lead effectively.

Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out specialised care needs, depending on the needs of the resident in a kind, caring and respectful manner.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and accreditation activities and contribute to staff and quality meetings in a constructive and effective manner.
- Supervision of all care given & documentation completed, ensuring that care interventions are correctly reported on for accuracy and quality purposes.
- Provide information to assist residents to make informed decisions about their care and promote freedom of choice.
- Liaise with residents and/or relatives on a regular basis to ensure residents' rights are being observed & assist in dispute resolution.
- Ensure that all residents feel valued members of our community.
- Assess and develop strategies to maximize independence of residents displaying behaviours of concern in a caring manner.
- Assist staff with their queries, provide support, supervise and delegate tasks effectively to promote quality care of residents.
- Promote and maintain a harmonious relationship between all staff through conflict resolution.
- Notifying reportable conduct for accurate record keeping purposes and maintain timely clinical records.
- Complete relevant documentation in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the residents' care needs.
- Maintain duty of care of residents’, own and others health and safety in the workplace
- Comply with the requirements of the current Work Health and Safety regulations and processes.
What You Can Offer Us
- Current Nurse Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- Experience with Aged Care IT systems
- Ability to manage a multi-disciplined team as a Clinical Leader
- Strong commitment to person-centred care
- Aged Care Accreditation knowledge desirable
