At Bishop Druitt College, we believe in the saying ‘...it takes a village to raise a child.' Our college is built around our community and the relationships we foster each and every day. We believe that culture is built not on the physical resources within a school, but on the social capital, how the students interact with each other and their teachers and how the staff interacts with parents, other staff members, and most importantly, their students.

About you

As a part of Bishop Druitt College, you will be a dedicated educator with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices. You will have the ability to communicate with students, parents and staff at all levels with a diverse range of backgrounds. However, you will know that sometimes the best thing to do is just listen with an open heart.

You will

  • be registered with NESA,
  • have a current WWCC and First Aid Certificate or CPR qualifications,
  • have the ability to teach within a K-12 philosophy,
  • have demonstrated experience with the use of ICT equipment and systems in an education context,
  • be supportive of the ethos of independent Anglican education, and
  • have demonstrated strong computer literacy with Mac and PC applications (such as TASS, Google Apps, Office, email and internet).

About the role

Candidates will be able to demonstrate their understanding of data, and the role it plays in informing teaching and learning for students.

At BDC, we believe in developing World Prepared students and as such the successful candidate will be able to balance both the structured needs of the classroom and the individuial needs of our students. We believe giving the students the ability to play, daydream and be creative is the essence of a great education.
