About the role

Are you an experienced Mechanical Pipeline Operator with a passion for maintaining and operating advanced gas facilities? Join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in our Gas Transmission and Networks maintenance team and work with state-of-the-art facilities and be involved in the operation and maintenance of pipelines and easements.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Perform planned and corrective maintenance on various assets, including truck receiving stations, primary receiving stations, and compressor stations, etc
  • Respond to gas-related incidents and emergencies
  • Operate and maintain high-pressure natural gas and renewable energy facilities, including Hydrogen and Bio-methane systems
  • Conduct hot tapping on transmission and distribution pipelines
  • A wide variety of pipeline duties including mechanical work, documentation and records maintenance
  • Establish and maintain a Safe Worksite complying with all OHS&E requirements
  • Participate in a rotating on-call roster

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience in an operations and maintenance team within the gas transmission or gas processing industry or a similar field and hold a Certificate III Mechanical Engineering.

  • High pressure gas & Gas processing experience– desirable
  • Reciprocating/Screw Compressor operation and maintenance– desirable
  • Experience working within a Hazardous Area (Hazardous Area Certificate – desirable)
  • A team player who can work use their own initiative, whilst still maintaining a high safety focus
  • Proficient computer skills including use of MS Office suite
  • Certificate III or higher in Instrumentation & Control - highly desirable
  • Valid Australian Driver’s licence; High Risk Work licence (Forklift, EWP or Dogging)- desirable; Confined Space certificate – desirable
