About the opportunity

Permanent FT Gr 1 rotational role

Great opportunity for new graduate in supportive environment

Expanding Health Service with opportunities to further your physiotherapy career

  • Full-time, permanent 1.0 EFT Grade 1 role. New graduate physiotherapists with current AHPRA registration welcome to apply 

  • Rotational position. Rotations may include, outpatients, acute inpatients (Ortho, surgical, general medicine and palliative care), sub-acute inpatients (GEM), Tuesday to Saturday acute/ortho rotation, Community Based Rehabilitation (HIP), and four month rural rotation to Mercy Care Centre Young

  • Member of multi-disciplinary team providing quality, evidence based, person-centred, physiotherapy clinical care in a designated caseload

  • Friendly and supportive physiotherapy team with a strong learning culture, team support and a robust supervision framework 


What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.

  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

  • Recognised Degree in Physiotherapy with full, unlimited AHPRA physiotherapy registration 

  • Current Victorian (or equivalent) Drivers Licence

  • Broad clinical physiotherapy experience ideally including in a hospital setting

  • Willingness and ability to rotate as required including weekends and rural rotation

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and practices with a high level of integrity and professionalism

  • Enthusiastic, flexible, dedicated, team-oriented, adaptable and friendly with commitment to evidence-based practice


You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
