City Fertility has multiple opportunities (full-time, part-time or casual) and is on the lookout for passionate nurses, with anaesthetic and recovery skills to join our peri-operative team at our Robina clinic with a unique opportunity to expand your skills into IVF patient care by also working with the IVF nursing team. Your Role:

As predominately an Anaesthetic/Recovery Nurse working in our Robina clinic, you will:

  • Assist with admissions, inhalation sedations intra-operatively, post procedure recovery care and discharge.
  • Be proficient in the function of all emergency equipment and care, including airway maintenance.

Qualifications and skills we value:

We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, compassionate, supportive, and a team promoter. Ideally you will bring the following to the role:

  • Dedicated Experience: A minimum of 1 year in anaesthetics is required.
  • Tech Proficiency: Practical knowledge on the use of methoxyflurane. Airway maintenance in an emergency. Basic life support or advanced life support certificate desirable.
  • IVF nursing experience desirable but not essential, with a willingness to learn some aspects of IVF patient care including but not limited to patient injection teaching, assisting with egg collections and embryo transfers, pregnancy follow ups to support the IVF nursing team.
  • Accurate and detailed record keeping.
  • Experience in stock control: Ability or willingness to learn an establish online ordering system and maintenance of stock and medication levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail: The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Patient Focus: A supportive and thoughtful approach to patient care.
  • Precision Matters: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

In addition to the above, we also require:

  • Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing
  • Practices in accordance with:
    • Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses.
    • National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and functions according to the Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) Standards.
