Your Mission

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a key role in steering the nursing team towards excellence. Your responsibilities will include utilizing your advanced nursing knowledge, demonstrating exceptional leadership, and ensuring effective communication to foster a motivated and efficient workforce. Compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with the center's strategic vision are crucial aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the nursing staff, setting a high standard of care and professionalism.
  • Oversee performance development, including conducting annual reviews and managing team growth.
  • Champion initiatives to enhance workplace culture, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to streamline workflow processes and implement continuous improvement measures.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in oncology preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and familiarity with relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex situations effectively.
  • Proven ability to lead a team towards achieving high standards of patient care.
