Mine Site Construction Services Pty Ltd is a leading Western Australian, privately owned civil and mining construction company with over 40 years of combined industry experience; specialising in mining services, civil engineering, earthmoving, infrastructure and quarrying services. We are proud of our reputation for safely delivering exciting projects across Western Australia.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Engineers, with mining experience, for a long-term Coburn mineral sands project undertaking large scale bulk earthworks, conveniently located near the UNESCO listed World Heritage Shark Bay.
About the role:
• Provision of engineering, technical and contract support,
• Management of short term mine planning and development (up to rolling monthly horizon),
• Plan and provide guidance on overall execution of mining operations ensuring strategies align with quarterly, monthly and weekly plans,
• Provide up to date information on daily costings and progress as well as any project reports as required,
• Development and validation of periodic financial claims,
• Identify and advise on all contractual and commercial claims,
• Review of progress against plan, and productivity analysis including budget and costs,
• Focus on improving cost effectiveness and risk mitigation,
• Administering site management of subcontractor activities,
• Promote a diverse, inclusive and dynamic work culture that promotes safety in all that we do.
Requirements:
• Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering, or in a related engineering field
• Previous exposure to mining environment and preferably bulk commodity or mineral sands mining, preferred but not essential
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Well developed communication skills with the proven ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with blue and white collar stakeholders
• MineSched and Surpac experience preferred but not essential
• Previous work with a Contractor preferrable
