We have an exciting opportunity to join the fast paced, dynamic, practical and rewarding engineering team as a Mechanical Engineering Coordinator.
The role covers all aspects of the mine. This includes both technical operational support, as well as mechanical engineering project support for the ever-expanding site mechanical equipment.
As the Mechanical Engineering Coordinator, you will report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer and be responsible for:
Providing technical mechanical engineering and process coordination support to Longwall, Development and Outbye departments to safely achieve equipment availability and reliability;
Providing mechanical engineering assistance to process areas procuring new equipment and overhauling existing equipment;
Providing support by consultation, training and education of the process area mechanical personnel;
Providing mechanical technical and project management support for site minor and major project implementation;
Contributing to the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives with regard to the mechanical engineering systems and procedures on site.
You must have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering to a level of Advanced Diploma or higher.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving excellent mechanical standards, a passion for continually improving equipment and processes through applying your strong mechanical engineering knowledge and have a goal of obtaining their Underground Coal Mechanical Engineering Manager Certificate of Competence. The Mechanical Engineering Coordinator is also responsible for providing mechanical safety support by:
Assisting in the development, implementation and communication of Mechanical Engineering Management Plans to comply with appropriate legislative requirements and standards;
Ensuring Safe Work Practices are followed for mechanical tasks;
