Wood is currently seeking a Lead & a Senior Planner to join our Perth Projects team on one of our projects in Australia's battery metal sector.

Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Gold Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally. 



Responsibilities

This role will see you join a greenfield EPCM project, currently at FEED stage where you will lead the development of the project schedules and plans, as the projects key focal ensuring systems process and procedures and standards. In addition to business partnering with the wider project tea, you will be accountable for ensuring projects schedule are maintained in accordance with approved project WBS and changing trends are monitored and raised accordingly.



Qualifications

Your career to date has been within Project Controls, particularly in the areas of planning/ schedule management within an EPC/EPCM/Client sector. Your experience working in resources sector within project delivery will have seen you built a solution focused mindset and a can-do attitude, with passion in contributing to positive team cultures.

In addition, but not limited to;

  • Ideally you will have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role and experience in the energy industry (preferable mining while advantageous to have a degree in a relevant technical or business discipline, it is not essential. 
  • Proficiency with industry standard software including Microsoft Excel and cost control programmes
  • You must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship.    
  • Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques
  • Demonstrates commitment to Wood Values, Visions & Behaviours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Uses initiative, experience and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to guide & mentor the wider project team working cohesively to scope objectives.
