Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest growers and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains, plus independents and exports.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated HR Truck Drivers to join our team on a casual basis at our Virginia site located in Adelaide, South Australia.
Reporting to the Loading Bay Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that applicable transportation requirements are completed according to required timelines, without incident or injury.
Duties include:
- Load and unload vehicles using forklifts
- Ensure all paperwork is checked for accuracy before loading and unloading
- Observe safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles.
- Conduct regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely
- Estimate load weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight.
- Inspect loads and ensure full compliance with national Chain of Responsibility Code
- Ensure goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage.
- Verify loading documents, checking condition of goods
- Effectively operate a forklift to transport bins and pallets of produce.
- Conduct daily inspections and basic preventative maintenance and report deficiencies to supervisors.
- Local driving only.
- All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
- HR Manual Truck Licence (essential).
- Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence (essential).
- High Risk Work Licence (essential).
- Minimum of 2 years relevant truck driving experience.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose faults.
- Experience reversing into narrow loading areas.
- Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential.

Fixed work schedule 7.30am - 3.00pm.
