CDC NSW has 11 workshops across greater Sydney and the Hunter region. Our workshops are large, modern and well equipped with all up to date tools and equipment our teams need. Safety is our number one priority. Our equipment is well maintained and we are proud to hold both our ISO 9001 (Quality) as well as ISO 55000 (Assets) standards.

We operate 7 days a week and allow for flexible rosters and shifts to suit all lifestyles. We offer the opportunity to work on a variety of makes and models including diesel products from Volvo, Scania, Iveco and Mercedes right through to the latest in zero emission and electric buses.

About the role:

This full-time position that will suit a Light or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic who has the ability to maintain and repair our bus fleet to ensure we can continue connecting people and places safely. Here’s what you will do:

  • Maintain, repair and service our fleet
  • Identify, report and repair vehicle defects
  • Conduct planned maintenance in accordance with workshop schedules
  • Complete assigned duties in a safe, clean, competent and timely manner
  • Entering accurate information into fleet maintenance software
  • Attend to breakdowns, accidents and incidents

About you:

  • Light or Heavy vehicle experience and certification
  • MR or HR driver's licence or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to adhere to regulation guidelines
  • Complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
  • Work well individually and as part of a team 
  • Want to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvement
