Based at our Mildura Head Office, this is a rare and what will be a highly sought after role working in our Safety and Compliance Team to deliver industry leading induction, training and assessment programs to new and existing Drivers.

This exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Trainer/Assessor with a proven background in heavy vehicle driver training to join our team. The position would ideally suit someone who has worked in the road transport industry, with a significant background as an Interstate MC driver, you will have great communication skills and confidence to present to groups and deliver our extensive induction and training programs.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Development and implementation of individual driver training plans.

• Plan and deliver induction/training and associated material to small groups in a classroom/presentation environment.

• Provide heavy vehicle training and assessments including practical loading procedures.

• Use teaching and assessment strategies that are fair, valid, current, and sufficient to meet business and legislative requirements.

• Have a strong understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations, mass management and fatigue management.

• Be willing to undertake travel to support training and development needs at other business locations.

• Working with Management to develop and implement training schedules for existing driving staff.

• Ensure legislative changes are identified and applied to business operations as required.

• Provide employee training feedback to Supervisors and Management.

• Conduct random drug and alcohol testing as per company policies and procedures.

• Have excellent time management and organisational skills.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (essential).

• Proven experience with delivering face to face and competency-based training packages.

• Industry understanding of OH&S/WHS legislation.

• MC Drivers Licence (preferred, not essential)

• Forklift Licence (preferred, not essential)

• Highly proficient with reporting & documentation.

• Sounds computer skills.

• High level of personal integrity and confidentiality at all times.
