The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented Industrial Technician to join our team as a Field Service Technician in Sydney.

This is a hands on customer service role that requires a self-motivated and customer focused individual. The role will help to deliver NSW support – including contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Sydney region. The position will require participation in the rotating on-call roster and must be flexible to work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays if required.

This is a permanent day shift position but you maybe required to work afternoon shifts to support operations where required.

Tasks and Qualifications:

In order to be successful in this role, you must have experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults, be customer focused and ensure high quality service and output is delivered.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications & experience:

  • Trade qualified in Mechanical or Electrical (mandatory)

  • PLC experience (desirable but not required)

  • Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded

  • Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)

  • Experience in pneumatic systems

  • Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven

  • Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices

  • Current driver’s license mandatory

  • Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills

  • The ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships
