We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse with recent hospital experience to join our friendly, supportive team, in the specialty area of Rehabilitation.

The Enrolled Nurse as a member of the nursing team participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.  Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Enrolled Nurse performs nursing functions based on her/his education preparation, knowledge, skills, understandings and past experiences in nursing situations.

The Position

  • Consider the needs of the patient for an attractive, comfortable and safe environment.

  • Whilst promoting an atmosphere of confidence, confidentiality and respect, assist and maintain a high standard of care by assisting the patient with activities of daily living and encouraging appropriate self-care.

  • In a spirit of hospitality and compassion, observe, record and report to a registered nurse specific and general physical and mental conditions of patients, and symptoms and signs which may be indicative of change.

  • Report to a Registered Nurse any identified social and emotional problems affecting the patient and/or his relationship with his family, visitors and members of the health team.

  • Perform more specialised nursing functions, appropriate to level of training, such as implementing nursing or other therapeutic procedures ordered by the medical practitioner or Registered Nurse.

  • Prepare and care for patients receiving specialised treatments for which the nurse is appropriately prepared

To succeed you will hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse with recent clinical experience

You will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a dynamic health care team holding effective written and verbal communication skills with commitment to ongoing professional education. In addition, you will possess the ability to problem solve or seek help from appropriate resources and the aptitude to implement care plans under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $64,529 to $71,737 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 11.5% superannuation.

  • Permanent part time position, working 30.4 hours per week
