Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital
You will work in a detail oriented environment that includes preparing patients for surgery, monitoring their vital signs during the procedure, and assisting with their recovery afterwards.
Perioperative nursing at a St John of God Health Care encompasses different aspects of the entire patient Surgical journey, which is both exciting and extremely rewarding. We provide opportunities for nurses to enhance and discover new skills including assisting the anaesthetist in all facets of anaesthesia and supporting a range of different case mixes including complex surgeries. Our nurses provide excellent clinical care at all stages of the perioperative journey, from pre-surgery, in theatre and post-surgery
The Position
Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.
Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.
Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits
Salary: $67,798 to $98,362 (pro rata if part time) per annum, plus 11% superannuation
