Primary Objective

About the Role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide holistic nursing care to CatholicCare Central Queensland clients in a community setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This varied role includes a range of duties, but not limited to-

  • Complying with CatholicCare Central Queensland policy and procedure to deliver a range of quality nursing services to clients, within the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice
  • Provision of in-home Nursing care, undertaking assessments to support clients accessing services and other community support, and developing and implementing individual care plans under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and stake holders to develop and implement individual care plans for complex clients
  • Conducting clinical health assessments for clients whilst upholding CatholicCare Central Queensland mission and values
  • Ensuring documentation is in accordance with professional nursing standards and accreditation standards
  • Support CatholicCare Central Queensland Clinical Governance Framework by providing expert advice to other staff regarding care and incident response for clients with complex needs
  • Proactively contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance the services provided to all clients

Qualifications and Experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Diploma of Enrolled Nursing (required)
  • AHPRA registration, with nil conditions (required)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (or aged care) and 12 months Community Nursing experience (Desirable)
  • Current C or CA Driver’s license (QLD) (required)

Core Competencies

  • Ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate plans for interventions and treatment for clients
  • Ability to develop and provide reports regarding client needs and conditions
  • Ability to professionally work with internal and external stakeholders to meet client needs

In addition to the above, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (or relevant body) and commitment to maintaining membership, including mandatory professional development
  • Competent in the use of computers

The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.

All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of relevant screening and background checks, including an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
