Your role at St John of God Warrnambool Hospital
As a member of the health care team, the Enrolled Nurse is at the fore front of the provision of high quality patient care on a day to day basis under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The Enrolled Nurse assumes accountability and responsibility for their practice based upon their level of education and competence.

The Position

  • Be accountable for the direct delivery of safe patient care.

  • Assess the care of each individual through the utilisation of information collected from interview, inspection and observation; plan and implement care as required; identify problems and plan intervention so that expected outcomes are achieved; evaluate outcomes and adjust care plan accordingly.

  • Be involved in the provision of outcome based nursing practice by participating in the development and implementation of a planned nursing care approach.

  • Complete documentation accurately, legibly and to meet legal requirements.

  • Maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and caregivers

  • Assist in the review of accidents and incidents, and be involved in ensuring that all equipment is maintained in optimal working order.

  • Be actively involved in clinical risk management, including recognising, reporting and resolving adverse events and potential risks.

You will have current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and demonstrate successful completion of a Certificate IV in Nursing (Enrolled / Division 2) qualification or hospital based equivalent.

To succeed you Β will demonstrate an ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.

The Benefits:

  • Salary $64,529 - $71,737 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 11.5% superannuation

  • Permanent Part time position, 38 working hours available per fortnight.
