About the role  

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join our Assets and Operations team in Parkes. 

 

As an Electrical Technical you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of technical works encompassing the maintenance, construction, inspection and operation of equipment related to energy Transmission and Distribution systems.

 

About You  

As an experienced Electrical Technician, you bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to the table. Your background includes:

  • Application of Electrical Technician trade skills in the energy Transmission and Distribution environment.
  • Extensive experience in selecting, testing, fault finding, repair, and maintenance of Electrical infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in High and Low Voltage switching and permit issuance.
  • A commitment to audits and safety processes, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
  • Implementation of enterprise WHS and Environmental procedures.
  • Adherence to business and industry standards, contributing to the role of an Electrical Technician.

 

Your skills extend beyond technical expertise:

 

  • Effective problem-solving during unplanned events.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency relevant to the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling professional communication with stakeholders and customers.

 

 

Required Qualifications  

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (plus Qualified Supervisors Certificate) or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
  • Drivers Licence 
  • Qualified Supervisors Certificate 
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Cert 
  • Attainment and ongoing successful maintenance of all regulatory, industry and business required licences, authorisations and other such certificates deemed necessary for the role

• First Aid • Elevated Work Platform • Traffic Control • Crane borer • Dogman • Forklift • Chemical awareness, handling and storage • Manual Handling • Environmental Awareness • Switching knowledge • Sub Station entry authorisation
