We are currently looking for qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team in Kenwick on a full time, permanent basis.

The role:

The role involves daily maintenance of the transport fleet, diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance.

You will be accountable for:

  • Overhaul and repair of mechanical parts;
  • Recording of repairs carried out;
  • Parts requisition;
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workshop on a regular basis;
  • Rostered and overtime work when required;
  • Work offsite as required;
  • Utilising expertise in using tools and power tools safely; and
  • Training and mentoring of Apprentices.

The Requirements:

  • Australian Recognised Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Volvo,Cummins and Detroit experience desirable;
  • Able to effectively diagnose and find faults in the mechanical assessment of all aspects of the HV truck fleet and Trailers;
  • The ability to work well under pressure;
  • A strong commitment to health and safety;
  • Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously;
  • A Positive and proactive approach;
  • Ability to undergo a Company funded medical which includes drug and alcohol testing; and
  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or unlimited working rights
