About the role

Alpha Car Hire has permanent full-time opportunities at our Eagle Farm and our Logan locations for Customer Experience Representatives, Vehicle Cleaners and Shuttle Bus Drivers who are responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experience in bookings, vehicle preparation and transportation, that customers are happy to repeat, share and recommend.

The available role will be worked in accordance with a seven (7) day rotating and required to work 38 hours per week with operating hours Monday to Friday 7am to 9pm, Saturday to Sunday 7am to 7pm.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly rate range of $25.65-$26.24 per hour plus applicable penalties and monthly incentives commensurate with knowledge, skills and experience and superannuation according to the Super Guarantee

Your role and responsibilities:

• Understanding and anticipating customer needs including operating customer shuttle services in a safe and professional manner

• Opening and closing car rental agreements

• Selling additional over the counter rental products

• Managing reservations

• Checking for and recording vehicle damage

• Cleaning and presenting passenger and commercial vehicles

• Vehicle maintenance checks

• Movement of vehicles on and offsite for refuelling, maintenance, repairs, delivery to customers or other location

• Ensure the shuttle is maintained to a clean and safe standard

• Use systems and support tools to track individual performance and daily shuttle manifests

• Ensure compliance and workplace health and safety risks and incidents are reported promptly and managed effectively

• General branch cleaning duties

About you

• Excellent communication skills and a positive ‘Can do’ attitude

• Strong customer service skills

• Strong problem solving and complaint handling skills

• Ability to work both unsupervised and within a team

• Ability to multi-task and highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Be able to work weekends and public holidays as required

• To have own reliable transport to and from the branch.

• Willingness to travel and work between locations

• A full and current relevant State driver’s licence

• Experience, although preferred, is not essential
