Who are we looking for?

We are looking for warm and friendly volunteers in our Northern based social programs on Mondays and Tuesdays, to help staff set up engaging activities and provide friendly conversations and support to participants, ensuring they feel welcomed and involved.

What can you expect to be doing?

As a Social Program Support volunteer with our Community Aged Care program, you'll assist our staff in a Northern location to set up and support exciting group activities. Whether it’s sewing, arts and crafts, games or cooking sessions, you'll be the friendly face making sure participants feel included and welcomed. Your kind conversation skills will play a key role in bringing joy and fulfilment to participants, making every activity enjoyable and welcoming.

What do you need to bring?

  • Ability to engage effectively within a team environment in accordance with AnglicareSA’s values
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental, respectful approach
  • Relate well with people from a variety of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Report to the supervisor any areas of concern regarding the customers you are volunteering with
