Who are we looking for?

We are looking for warm and friendly volunteers to provide important social connections and conversations over-the-phone, to older South Australians.

What can you expect to be doing?

Connecting with Customers: Connect over the phone to pre-identified customers providing friendly conversation and social connection. Your kindness and engagement will help alleviate feelings of loneliness and social isolation.

Document Your Impact: Record brief details in our customer database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

What do you need to bring?

  • Ability to engage effectively within a team environment in accordance with AnglicareSA’s values
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental, respectful approach
  • Great phone skills and the ability to speak clearly with people who might have trouble hearing on the phone.
  • Relate well with people from a variety of different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
  • Report to the supervisor any areas of concern regarding the customers you are volunteering with
