About the Role
We are seeking a Cleaner for a casual opportunity at our Territorial Headquarters (THQ) for a 12 months Max-Term (20 hours/ week)
Purpose of the Role
The cleaner will contribute to the effective operation, environment, and mission of Territorial Headquarters (THQ) by ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the building is maintained.
You will be responsible for the following duties:
Cleaning Services
Ensure the cleanliness of common areas (including office areas, meeting rooms, lounge areas, dining areas, kitchenettes, bathrooms, and other areas as directed) in accordance with the Cleaners Tick sheet.
Supplies & Equipment
Ensure paper towels, toilet paper and dispensers are replenished and functional and report any problems to the Cleaning Supervisor as soon as practicable
Ensure chemicals and other domestic products are stored safely and securely to meet the relevant MSDS guidelines.
Occupational Health & Safety
To meet Occupational Health and Safety obligations in line with TSA Policy & Procedures & relevant legislation.
Reports all unsafe conditions, equipment, practices, and hazards
Hours
This is a 12-month max term, part time position, 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience/completed training in handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (highly regarded)
Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) regulation and storage of chemicals.
Experience with floor cleaning machines preferred
Self-motivated, sound level of initiative and strong work ethic
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Commercial cleaning experience preferred
