About the Role

We are seeking a Cleaner for a casual opportunity at our Territorial Headquarters (THQ) for a 12 months Max-Term (20 hours/ week)

Purpose of the Role

The cleaner will contribute to the effective operation, environment, and mission of Territorial Headquarters (THQ) by ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the building is maintained.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

Cleaning Services

  • Ensure the cleanliness of common areas (including office areas, meeting rooms, lounge areas, dining areas, kitchenettes, bathrooms, and other areas as directed) in accordance with the Cleaners Tick sheet.

Supplies & Equipment

  • Ensure paper towels, toilet paper and dispensers are replenished and functional and report any problems to the Cleaning Supervisor as soon as practicable

  • Ensure chemicals and other domestic products are stored safely and securely to meet the relevant MSDS guidelines.

Occupational Health & Safety

  • To meet Occupational Health and Safety obligations in line with TSA Policy & Procedures & relevant legislation.

  • Reports all unsafe conditions, equipment, practices, and hazards

Hours

  • This is a 12-month max term, part time position, 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience/completed training in handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (highly regarded)

  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) regulation and storage of chemicals.

  • Experience with floor cleaning machines preferred

  • Self-motivated, sound level of initiative and strong work ethic

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

  • Commercial cleaning experience preferred
