Applicants are sought for permanent Part Time employment as a Domestic Service Assistant - Cleaner. This role consists of assisting with cleaning duties in an acute and residential aged care services at Beechworth Health Service.

Tasks include cleaning in an Acute and Aged Care facility including:

  • residents' rooms, public areas, toilets and dining rooms.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming.
  • Safe storage and use of cleaning agents
  • waste management

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

Evidence of ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision and commitment to work as part of a team

Evidence of interpersonal skills, with a friendly manner when dealing with residents, patients, clients, staff & community members

Genuine desire to work in the domestic services area and perform cleaning duties within a health service environment

Evidence of good personal hygiene standards and understanding of BHS infection control policies and procedures

Evidence of willingness to work weekends and variable shifts as required 

Evidence of contribution to build a positive team culture

Excellent work ethic and time management skills.
