The Associate Nurse Unit Manager of Orthopedic acts as a responsible and effective team member, assists in the overall clinical management of the perioperative environment.

The Position:

·         Provide leadership and direction to team and act as a role model and resource person.

·         Responsible for assisting the Perioperative Services Manager in following issues pertaining to human resources within the department.

·         Maintains and promotes harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective team work between staff, patient, relative, doctors and ancillary staff.

·         Participate as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment

·         Participate in, contribute to and implement quality improvement and risk management into all aspects of service.

·         Participate in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose an OHS risk.

·         Demonstrates progress towards the achievement of goals and personal and professional growth

You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, you will have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing.  As a leader you will demonstrate ability to develop and build effective nursing, medical and interdisciplinary relationships and teams.

 To succeed you will have delegation, planning, organisational and motivational skills, be committed to on-going education and self-directed learning, and effectively communicate and educate patients, family and staff.

We will offer you

·         Salary: $107,258 - 107,258 per annum (pro rata if part time) + superannuation.

·         Permanent Full time position available
