OUR TEAM
Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. With ongoing training programs and a team of over 500, our people have room to grow and develop an impactful career with us.
YOUR ROLE
Working centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land you can expect to:
Begin in the workshop and eventually progress to working on large Maritime vessels
Measure and cut cables, learn how to run cables on board Naval and Commercial vessels
Complete termination of fixed wiring and earthing
Learn soldering terminations within panels, junction boxes etc
Test fixed leads, appliance, tools and wiring on-board Naval and Commercial vessels using appropriate equipment

YOUR EXPERIENCE
The most important attribute for the role is a great attitude and willingness to learn, but you will also need to:
Have completed year 10 studies at a minimum
Have great communication skills and enjoy interacting with different groups of people
Be able to complete maths problems and put this to use in the workplace
Please note we would consider 1st and 2nd year Apprentices for this intake also.
