Veterinarian - Greencross South Tamworth

Greencross South Tamworth is both a GP hospital and small animal referral service, offering specialist medical and surgical services that client’s would otherwise have to travel to a capital city to receive.

Our team boasts a broad range of skilled veterinarians including an anaesthetic specialist, along with other experienced vets all with interests in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, medicine, general surgery and pocket pets. Our nurses have special interests in behaviour, dog training and surgical nursing, and many staff have been with the team in excess of 20 years. All nursing staff are Certificate 4 Diploma qualified.

Greencross South Tamworth is situated 10minutes from the city centre, amongst affordable housing, good private and public schools, shopping precincts and great restaurants. Surrounded by excellent sporting facilities, water skiing, horse riding and is only a 45minute flight to Sydney or Brisbane. Great weather and easy lifestyle, Tamworth offers a rich musical culture and a wonderful family lifestyle.

What you’ll be doing each day

• Delivering personalised, professional and dedicated care to our patients and owners
• Handling and treating all animals
• Regular consults and routine surgery
• Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment
• Providing follow-up care and education of our pet owners
• Confidently working as a sole practitioner in the clinic when required

What you’ll bring

• A flexible and adaptable approach, with a commitment to gold standards of care
• Passion for pets (naturally), with excellent animal handling skills
• Registration or eligibility for veterinary registration in Australia
• Exceptional organisational, communication and customer service skills
• Interest in, and commitment to, working in a team environment
