Vet Nurse - Greencross Caringbah - Maternity Leave Contract

An opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse to join our Caringbah team! **Start date August 2024**

Located in Petbarn we have 2 spacious consult rooms, a cat ward, dog ward, large prep room area and a fully equipped surgery room. We have a friendly clientele, both well-established long-standing clients as well as lots of new faces recently finding their way to us - we pride ourselves on the close relationships we have with our clients!

Small but close knit, we've created a lively and positive environment - we all get on really well and strive for an energetic and motivating workplace culture! There's always something to learn or a laugh to be had!

We are a down to earth, easy going, and compassionate team who would love to welcome an experienced and like-minded Vet Nurse!

About your new role:

• Maternity Leave Contract starting August 2024
• Part-time hours/3-4 days a week
• Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
• Performing minor procedures when required 
• Caring, handling and cleaning all animals
• Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
• Reception duties as required

About your skills and your experience:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with min. 2+ years of experience
• An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• Ability to work with initiative, as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
• A calm and friendly presence
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of RX Works and Smartflow ideal but not essential
