Vet Nurse - Experienced

Albany Creek Veterinary Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic veterinary nurse to join our team in either a Permanent Full-time or Part-time role. 

You will be joining our fast paced fully equipped clinic where no two days are the same, so we are looking for someone with enough energy and enthusiasm to keep up with the flow of the day. We pride ourselves on upholding the highest standard of care to both our patients and clients, encourage constant professional development and growth, and aim to provide a fun team environment with the goal of making you look forward to coming to work each morning! 

We operate Monday to Saturday, Saturday shifts are on a rotating roster and shared with all of the nursing staff.

Daily procedures include:

• Collecting and running bloods
• Placing IV catheters
• Hospital care of patients
• Administering medication under vet direction
• Assisting anaesthetic inductions
• Monitoring anaesthesia
• Keeping the hospital tidy 
• Assist consult vets with medication or procedures (keeping the vets on track)
• Taking phone calls
• Reception shifts
