Warakirri is excited to be in the market for a Truck Driver for a large-scale institutional cropping aggregation (irrigated cotton and dryland) in south-west Queensland.

Job Description

About the role

  • Operating trucks according to instructions, ensuring timely and high-quality work while monitoring weather and environmental conditions, and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Preparing trucks and other machinery or equipment for various operations, including selecting and fitting appropriate accessories for each job.
  • Recording activities and maintaining accurate records in compliance with farm and legislative requirements.
  • Conducting truck maintenance and pre-start checks, ensuring all maintenance is performed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Performing or overseeing maintenance and modifications to trucks and equipment where appropriate.

Qualifications

About you

  • You have a strong focus on safety.
  • You have a Multi-Combination (MC) Licence
  • You have a demonstrated track-record of employment as a Truck Driver.
  • It would be a bonus if you have experience operating large-scale cotton or cropping plant and equipment.
  • You work best in a team environment and enjoy contributing to a successful farm team and kicking goals together.
  • People pride you on your initiative and self-motivation.
