Newman Senior Technical College is one of the largest senior secondary Colleges on the NSW North Coast with one of the highest VET course enrolments in NSW.  The College is a specialist facility providing students with opportunities to achieve their HSC and national qualifications.

We invite suitably qualified teachers and/or trade qualified persons to apply for the following position:

TEACHER - HOSPITALITY

 Temporary, full time position commencing 14 October 2024 - 26 January 2025 (Term 4)

To be considered for this role it is preferable that you should hold the following qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE40122
  • Certificate II in Hospitality - SIT20322
  • Certificate II in Cookery - SIT20421
  • Teaching

Applicants must:

  • hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • have full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)
  • comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Criteria: 

  • have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
  • provide evidence of qualifications in a specialised faculty
  • able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community
  • ability to teach another subject
  • a willingness to contribute positively as part of a professional learning community
  • applicants need to be willing and able to participate in and support the religious dimension of the College
