Position:

Braemar College is seeking a proven teacher and leader to deliver the learning and teaching goals for Learning Enhancement, specifically to;

  • Work with other leaders including the Head of Senior School, Year Level Leaders and Instructional Leaders to enable personalised and differentiated pathways for students with specific learning requirements;
  • Identify and review modifications and adjustments that students require;
  • Oversee and undertake the process of applications for exam provisions, both internal and external;
  • Mentor and coach teachers on differentiation within the classroom;
  • Lead a small team of teachers who specialise in this area;
  • Co-ordinate of all aspects of individual educational plans including the accurate registration of data for NCCD;
  • Coordinate and record student, and parent conferences (SSG’s).

We have a position at each campus and this position is at the Senior School Campus at Mt Macedon. There is a small teaching allotment focused on a skills class. As a teacher, it is expected that the successful candidate will maintain high standards of learning and teaching, assessment and reporting that are relevant, collaborative and future-focused.

We are looking for a teacher who will provide continuity for the student experience in Senior School. Ideally, we are seeking a full-time teacher however, if part-time was desired we would consider a significant part-time allotment for the right teacher.

  • Display exemplary abilities in differentiated instruction, effective pedagogical teaching, and assessment strategies.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the need to address the academic, social and emotional needs of the students.
  • Have a high regard for student wellbeing.
  • Have recent experience in the area of learning enhancement.
  • Be qualified in the area of learning enhancement.
  • Have a proven ability to participate effectively in a team environment.
  • Hold current Teacher registration with VIT.
  • The successful candidate would commence with induction on 27 January 2025.
