Tax Accountant

To provide tax accounting support to Senior Tax Manager and other collaborators in a multi divisional structure, ensuring tax compliance obligations are met. The focus of this role will be on GST, fringe benefits tax and withholding tax. As an integral finance team member, proactively interact with other teams to ensure crucial outcomes for tax reporting accuracy, efficiency and implementation of process improvement.

The skills you'll need

• 3 to 5 years of experience in either chartered or corporate environment.
• Solid understanding of tax legislation and application of the rules.
• Understanding tax compliance reporting and systems.
• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance, tax effect accounting, tax consolidations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A positive, proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Experience working both autonomously and in cooperation with a broader team.
• Advanced excel and word skills.
• Experience with tax effect accounting software (ideally CCH Integrator).
• Ability to communicate effectively with advisors, accountants and other stakeholders.
